You will find out that your account is blocked when you enter your account and password. You will be told that it has been blocked for an abnormal activity or security issues. If you don't remember any abnormal activities that you did, click OK and you will see the details of your penalty. There will be information with details of the type of penalty you got and the reason.

Click on the option 'Read and accept' to complete the process. You will be asked to Drag the slider to the puzzle piece. Click 'Next. ' use your phone number to send SMS code.

Go back and click on the option 'Continue after Sending SMS.'

Find a WeChat user that can help you complete the next process. It requires you to verify your identity. The user does not have to be your WeChat friend. However, they should meet the following requirements;

1. They should not have verified too many accounts. WeChat allows users to verify accounts one per month, two per six months, and three per year.

2. They should have registered at least six months ago

3. They should have been using their account regularly

Get the phone number that they have linked to their account and choose the region of the user. Click 'Next' after that. Ask them to help you verify your account.

2. Unblocking Your Account on the Website

If you can't unblock your account yourself, you may do it on WeChat's website. If your account has not been blocked permanently the support team may help you get it back. Ask for help on 'WeChat Support.

If Your Account is Blocked Permanently

If your account was blocked because of serious violations, it may be impossible to get it back. If you would like to continue enjoying WeChat services, you need to register a new account.

You can protect your new account from being blocked by going through the terms and conditions of WeChat and abiding by them. Follow these steps;

1. Click on the option 'WeChat Support' and go to the 'Account Recovery' channel

2. Click on the option 'Banned WeChat Account'

3. Select an ID type and choose one of the four account types

4. Enter your ID type based on your previous choice

5. Enter your country/region and your phone number
