If you've ever purchased or searched for merchandise on the Amazon website, you no doubt noticed the tiny yellow stars that indicate reviews left by customers who've purchased the particular product on the page you're viewing.

What Is My Amazon Reviewer Rank?

Underneath each product review left by an Amazon customer (reviewer) there's an option to let Amazon know whether a review was helpful or not with simple Yes or No buttons. These are known as votes. Additionally, Amazon customers can also leave a comment if they so wish.

Amazon uses this feedback to rank Amazon reviewers. Amazon reviewers whose reviews are voted as helpful on a consistent basis will be higher ranked than others. Also, more recent the reviews, the better the Amazon reviewer's rank will be.

Only one vote per product is allowed per user. Normally, Amazon reviewer rankings are updated every 2-3 days.
